Welcome Back 2018
Happy 2019 to all! May good health, happiness, peace be yours always. We are in “full swing” with stomach viruses, colds, and all the ailments that Winter brings. Although it hasn’t been too cold, so many germs are still “floating around”! For those of you who haven’t been immunized with the flu shot, we still highly recommend getting it. There is no such thing as too late!
In the Health Office Kelly & I are always thinking ahead, so we are now reminding parents of incoming 6th graders, the 6th Grade immunizations and Physicals for the 2019-2020 school year. Many students go for their physicals in the first half of the year, depending on when their birthday is. We encourage all parents to send a copy of their student’s physicals, so we can keep our health charts current. Thank you for those parents who have already done so. Thank you parents for your cooperation.
This month we will start to do screenings for the students in grades 1,2,4,5,7,and 8. If you have a specific concern (need to check your child’s eyes or hearing and they are not in the listed grades, please feel free to call the HO and we will provide the screening).
As always, the best prevention of sharing illnesses is hand washing! All students’ who come into the Health Office wash their hands and we offer them water to maintain hydration for optimal health. As always, all students who go home with temperatures of 100, need to be fever free for 24 hours without having medication. Please call us at the health office if your child has been diagnosed with a contagious disease, this helps us as well as the other student’s parents! Thank you again for helping us to keep everyone well.
Thank you for helping us to keep the students’ healthy, so they may learn!
We all work as a team and look forward to keeping the students well, safe and secure. We want them to always feel they can come to us with anything as we are their advocates first and foremost. Please feel free to drop by the Health Office with any questions or concerns. You can now call the health office directly, just call the main number, 201 487-8641 and our extension is 236 If you have any questions, you may call us, if the phone is busy, we are taking care of your children.
