RELIGION: Chapter 8: “Learning about God’s Law” The students will learn about God’s covenant with Moses & the Israelites, the promise God kept by sending his Son, & Jesus’ teaching about God’s Law.
MATH: Chapter 2: The students will use their understanding of addition to write addition expressions with an unknown value, discover the properties of addition, & use rounding to estimate sums of multi-digit numbers. They will also find the solution to addition problems involving two or more addends & numbers in the thousands & millions, without regrouping. 2.1 – Mathematical Expressions. 2.2 – Addition Properties. 2.3 Estimate Sums. 2-4 Add Thousands. 2-5 Add Millions. 2-6 Three or More Addends. 2-7 Problem Solving: Making an Organized List.
Monday: Introduce 2-6. Complete pgs. 36-37 in Textbook, & pgs. 27-28 in workbook.
Tuesday:Review class/homework. Study for test tomorrow
Wednesday: Adding Large Numbers Test. Complete “Check Your Progress” pgs . 32-33 in Textbook
Thursday: Review class/homework.
Friday: Introduce 2-7. Complete pgs. 39 in Textbook & pgs. 30-32 in workbook
READING: Story “Coyote School News”, Literary Element: Drawing Conclusions”. (*RWN = Reader’s, Writer’s Notebook)
Monday: Review vocabulary words. Review Drawing Conclusions. Read Chasing After the Tumbleweed. Complete pg. 120 in RWN. Look up definitions for moccasins, siesta, wigwam, mustang, adobe, matador, & Adios.
Tuesday: Review class/homework. Read At a Guest Ranch
