- Students are to bring in morning snack and lunch (or lunch order form with lunch money)
- Please check your child’s green homework book and classwork folder every night
- Please bring in all school supplies and five sharpened pencils everyday!
Monday: Science lab and Music

Thursday: Gym (students are to come to school in their gym uniforms)
Lesson Plans for the week of 10/15:
SuperKids: Students will work with Superkids book, “Adventures of the Superkids” Students will continue to practice decoding and blending sounds. They will learn predictable patterns and rules to read and spell challenging words. Students will begin to read longer stories about the Superkids in their readers. Students will be completing lessons 150-154 this week.
Monday: Students will review “Ettabetta’s Radish Patch,” then read and discuss verse and pattern of rhyming words.
Tuesday: Students will review memory words and pronouns before writing directions for”How to Grow a Plant.”
Wednesday: Students will build vocabulary and begin to read story, “The Patch-it-up-Shop”
Thursday: No School
Friday: Spelling Test on Memory words and Pattern words Students will continue with the story “The Patch-it-up-Shop”
Math: Progress in Math
Ch. 2: Addition strategies and Facts to 12: In chapter 2 students will: learn that addition is a joining action that involves the combining of two “parts” into a “whole”. The students will add numbers with sums of 12 or less, complete and write addition sentences for sums of 12 or less, and identify patterns of sums to 12. Students will be completing p. 59-66 this week in their textbooks.
This week’s objectives: Students will explore the concept of addition as a whole with 7 or 8 being the sum of its parts. Students will add numbers with the sums of 9 and 10 in the horizontal and vertical form.
Religion: We Believe
Ch. 5: Jesus Teaches Us About Love
This week’s objectives: Students will learn about love and how Jesus wants us to live our daily lives.
Students will be working in the lab to begin, Investigation 4 “The Sense of Smell.”
HOMEWORK: Spelling Test Friday will include the red words, I, my,she, her, he, his and four of the pattern words: dish, fish, wish, dash, crash, trash, lunch, punch, crunch, catch, match, patch
